R L. R Fish Celebrate Wedding Anniversary Two highly respected Moab residents Mr fr and Mrs 4 Martin fartin R R. R Fish celebrated their thE wedding anniversary Wednes Wednesday day at their home In Moab The day was observed with a family fam Yarn ily party and scores of friends called to pay their regards to the pioneer couple Mr and Fish were married mar led ried at Grainfield Kan Aug 20 1886 and moved Into the Cripple Creek Colo district In 1883 1888 After spending a year or two there the couple oame came to Grand county to locate settling on a ranch In upper Castle valley To reach re-ach Castle valley they floated down the Colorado river riv er on a raft which carried their possessions There was wa'S no road at that time and all transportation tation was by horseback and raft I Mr and Mrs Fish had two children but both died In the Influenza epidemic of 1918 while living at the Castleton ranch In 1932 the pair moved to Moab to make their home Mr and Mrs Fish raised their five grandchildren left them by their own children They have flye five grandchildren 13 great grandchildren and two W great great- great One of the most attractive homes domes now nearing completion In In Moab is the six room room residence resi resl dence dente of Mr Il and land Mrs Melvin Dalton DaHan located on East Bast First North street It 11 Is of adobe con M Baptist Community Church Floyd L. R White A U. U S.
