state supreme court sits in judgment there and the chief executive of the state has ibis his office regardless of a mans soc bial ial standing or relli religious belief if he is a citizen of the strife he is a hare share holder in its capitol the people of utah may well be proud of their state capitol if it is not only an important and useful building but a beautiful buildings buil dinga won darful building it is said to be one of the best if it not the finest state capitol in the united states As A on 9 approaches I 1 from the if he the beautiful at zlate nil all hei although the build ing Is Q but eight year old and though the trees and la lans ans are necessarily ery young the surrounding surroundings are so well kept and in such order that a would WOUW hi hardly believe the ground was first broken for the build ing on december 26 1912 yet this Is true the ile comer stone was laid on april 4 1914 and the building was comp completed letea on july 3 1915 at a total cost of the capitol is ix feet lone e fret feet wide and feet high its beneral style Is pure corinthian akifty two column columns of utah gran granite it grace its exterior the columns art 42 feet high the diameter of the blome I 1 is aa 6 feet i A glance at the register regi on a table near the south entrance would lead one one to conclude that a majority of the people who visit the capitol are not rot
