Show Local Happenings The fifth annual fire school held in Salt Lake City last week was attended by the following members of the Bingham volunteer volun-teer fire department: Chief John J. James and children returned Tuesday from a two and a half weeks' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Farl WiL.oii of Long Beaih, Calif., and other relatives in Los Angeles and vicinity. vic-inity. The group also motored to Salmon, Ida., where they visited with another sister, ?4rs. George Pickering and Mr. ; Pickering and returned by way of Pocatello. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerdm had as guest for two days their daughter, dau-ghter, Mrs. Orson Downard of San Francisco, Calif. Mr. und Mrs. Ned Jones are spending ten days at Fish Lake. Mr. and Mr:'. Jack Householder Jr. and I). B. Ireland are leaving Friday (today) for a few days fishing at Granddaddy lakes. Attending the' Federation of Women's Clubs convention and banquet at Newhou.se hotel in Salt Lake City June 21 and 22 were Mrs. Odell Peterson, Mrs. Curl A. Curtis, Mrs. J. Lynn Booth, Mrs. Joe Cunningham and ! Mrs. C. L. Camp. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Fenton were Mrs. Art Martin of Shoshone, Sho-shone, Idaho, and Mrs. Clyde f. Hickok of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ned Chestnut entertained Monday evening for members of No. 2 'Firemen's auxiliary. Contract Con-tract bridge was played and prizes pri-zes won by Mrs. Lawrence West, Mrs. J. Lynn Booth and Mrs. A. G. Moulton. Dainty refreshments were served. Miss Claudia Mortensen of Salt Lake City visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris and daughter Helen and son Douglas and Beverly Beard spent last week end in Portage visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Hawks. Glen Nerdin of West Jordan is visiting this week with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerdin. Mr. and Mrs. Orley Bills and' children. Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Mrs. John Nystrom returned Tuesday from a few days visit in American Fork with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson. Her grand-! daughter returned with her for a visit.
