Show Brass Foundry Shows Growth and Prosperity One of the growing industries of Salt Lake one which is still young but developing rapidly is the making of brass bronze and aluminum products The growth of this line of work is reflected in the history of the Capital Brass company with offices at South West Temple and a foundry at Jeremy street This plant was started in 1912 by two mechanics who confined themselves to the making of brass and bronze casting in in the rough for the industrial trade In 1918 when A. A C. C Moulton joined the concern it was incorporated and the scope of its activities and personnel were enlarged until until until un un- un- un til now it is equipped to design and manufacture ornamental and industrial brass bronze and aluminum um of every kind including including ing the finest The outstanding piece of work done by this company in 1926 1925 was the memorial to the late Hal Lamb former Utah amateur golf champion and the landscape ar architect architect architect ar- ar who laid out the Country club golf course This memorial is in the shape of a fountain and constitutes a piece picco of highly ornamental brass work which but a few years ago could not have hava been made in Salt Lake for lack of proper facilities |
