DeVries at whose home in the tle Hillcrest apartments Sarah lived live for more than a year rear and until untila a month ago when she m moved ved to the Corliss home Sarah was deathly afraid of being hurt or even being sick and It is ridiculous to suppose she would have killed her hel self That the parents of Sarah had discouraged the friendship between Ruth and their daughter and had asked her cooperation In breaking it up was stated by Mrs Irs DeVries Ruth had some sort of a dreadful dreadful dreadful dread dread- ful hold over Sarah that ve we ye never could u understand Mrs 1 DeVries De Vries said Ruth would suggest something something something some some- thing and Sarah would inevitably agree Ru Ruth th was wa not a welcome guest in our home here because Sarah's mother was unwilling and because I didn't like Ruth She had a disagreeable voice and while I was polite polito to her always I just left her alone Sh She ate meals with us on several occasions The Tho only occasion on which Ruth had remained all night was the nl night ht of her arrival from California Mrs frs De DeVries VrIes sa said Id MET AT PAYSON Through a and a misunderstanding misunderstanding misun misun- of the tele telegram ram which she sent Sarah and I failed to meet Ruth who had tak taken n a sideline down to Pa Payson lIon When Sarah found out she he took a late train and met Ruth nuth i In Payson and the two wo re re- re turned Ruth uth flew Into a t L perfect tant tant- i 1 h rum and just raged and stormed around here about the this Incident and that was wa my first Impression of her and a disagreeable one Mrs Irs DeVries DeVries De De- Vries said That Sarah was waR of an affectionate affection affection- ate disposition but no no nomore more so 10 than normal was as also stated by Mrs Irs DeVries Sarah said on one occa occasion lon when she was going out with Ruth that she hoped Ruth nuth wouldn't act queer again Mrs DeVries said Raid I didn't see Ruth very vry often because she knew she was unwelcome In our home but she struck me as being a n peculiar pecullar kind of a girl She wa vas WIlA pretty Urk dark and of of medium build but J I didn't her voice I cant can't explain just why or what there was about it that I didn't like hike j
