question may seem strange but I shall try to make myself clear Are there any stores or offices which send out work that can be bedone bedone bedone done at ones one's home Such as ad addressing with the typewriter houses Possibly by so doing you might get a bit of ot copying i ito I Ito to do front from time to time Why not try it it I Dear Miss Kaye Kayo I I have to do practically all of the I cooking at our ouI home because my mother works I can cook many I things pretty retty well but my trouble always comes with piecrust I use a very good recipe and handle the I dough very lightly but I cannot seem to get that flaky texture to it Could you please give me some pointers pointers' on oil how to make good piecrust pie crust If you do I certainly will I appreciate it With love and best wishes BLONDIE Salt Lake Dont Don't let that discourage you Ou inthe inthe in inthe the least littI little girl Many a more experienced cook than you OU cannot annot make nice nico flaky piecrust you know There is an art and to IDe rrie it seems success hangs on two threads First dear It Is Important that you you have everything to b be used in snaking makIng the ice lee cold Second Second Sec See ond you must be able to work quickly and get the pie into the oven before belore the handling or the temperature of ot the room can affect it II With a good recipe which recipe which you say you have and a thought for the two points mentioned above e you should be able to get perfect re re- re suits Does your recipe call for a abit abit abit bit of baking powder I Do o not make the mistake of ot thinking if a little be good more would be better That Thatis is not so and you must never use more than a small teaspoon of ot the powder to a quart of flour Do you roll your dough out cover over with bits of butter fold and roll again That Thatis is all well enough IF you can work quickly and handle the dough light ly Iy But often I 1 have discovered I that the amateur finds this extra handling of ot the dough defeats the erY very purpose of ot it and that Us better to make the rich plain paste Now Just one more point dear dear dear- and your pie should be th the envy of himself Be sure suro that the temperature of ot the oven is as high as you can have haveit it without scorching the pie A slow oven on ruins the best of pies you OU know What a Joy you must be to Mother Moth And I shall take him home and turn the hose on him and wash et off all the btttle bittle chocolate Mrs Grumpy cried as she sho started after the puppy guppy dog Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy toll tall tail and started to pull him home but the candy tail tall broke off Now see what you have havo done Mrs Grumpy Raggedy Ann cried Anyway I shall Just eat the candy dogs dog's tall tail right now now and she took toole a bite Ooh she cried as ah she ehe threw the rest of or the candy tall tail to the ground and made a face The candy doesn't taste a bit nice What have you ou been doing candy J
