( V, The latest in metallurgy have been combined at new Horn Silver Mill in effort to open the way to mining lower grade ore. (Editor's Note; This is the concluding artirlt i( wrira on the history and revival re-vival of the San Franciuro Mining re-gion, re-gion, Ileaver County, Utah.) Rased on ore broken in the Horn Silver, together with other developments develop-ments in the district, Metal Producers Pro-ducers last year began the construction con-struction of a milling plant of 500 tons per day capacity. The plant was erected, at a cost of approximately $350,000 and is located midway between Milford and the Horn Silver, where water was available with a minimum amount of drilling. The plant has just been given its ititial run and necessary adjustments adjust-ments are now being made. Its design embodies a combination of spirals and flotation, especially di signed to treat ores of the Heaver County region. Operators are hope-ful hope-ful that the mill will prove so successful suc-cessful that the owners will find it profitable to expand the capacity to take care of other ores of the district. A successful milling plant, which wil cut transportation and treatment treat-ment costs, may be the key which will turn Beaver County once again into the list of important Utah metal producing districts. Industrial In-dustrial consumers of the scarce metals and Utah business and industry in-dustry will welcome lieaver County Coun-ty back into the mining limelight. |
