August 9 1822 When 17 years ears of or age he was converted to the Mormon church and went west to Nauvoo Nauvoo Nau- Nau ill III where he le did a a. great deal of ot I work on the temple of ot the organization I In July 1846 at Council Bluffs Iowa I I Mr Mowrey enlisted in the Mormon battalion bat- bat 1 tallon being mustered out of ot service when he arrived In Salt Lake City five I i da days Sn after Brigham y ga Young and the lt first I company of or pioneers reached this valley July 4 1847 at Independence Rock nock Wyo Mr Mowrey was married to Martha Jane Jane Sharp I In 1864 as an aid to Apostle Rich of or orI the 1 L. L D D. S.
