M Kimball loday to toI today to- to I day and was sentenced to a term oi oj I from five flue to twenty-five twenty years ears in th the I state penitentiary He was taken I j heavily shackled to Salt Lake by Sheriff Sheriff Sher Sher- iff and deputies because It was believed ate ie le was desperate He goes back into Utah's penitentiary where he had already ser served ed six years I Atkins was convicted yesterday of the tho charge of robbery after the jury had been out a few It was wa proved that he was an accomplice of Joe Rausch Bausch killed on the night of November November No No- vember 27 27 when the two men entered the jewelry store of Seth Thomas Thomas resisted and shot Rausch Bausch who died a few minutes later in the poli police e station In the meantime Atkins had jumped into an automobile and driven to Salt Lake He later went to California California California Cali Cali- fornia where he was arrested He had escaped from the county jail a short shott time previous to the robbery On the night of the tragedy after he had arrived at the home of Irma Soper with filth whom Rausch Bausch had been living I here he turned over jewels jewels- stolen from the the store to her and money which he said sad was Rauschs Rausch's share according to toi j i her testimony at the preliminary hea hear hear- ing She has ties since disappeared and andI I the police are still sWI looking for her
