WILKES NILES THEATRE LEASED TO VAUDEVilLE fiRM J Announcement that the Wilkes theatre theatre the the- atre had been leased to the Ackerman Harris circuit operating vaudeville and musical comedy companies throughout the Northwest is made by Frank Burt representing the circuit who has just closed the lease with Colonel N. N W. W Clayton owner of the theatre The lease will become effective September September Sep Sep- 1 according to the announcement announcement announce announce- ment and during the summer It is planned to make extensive alterations and a d remodel the playhouse In some parts particularly the stage which It is planned will be set back and widened wid- wid ened The seating capacity will be enlarged to about 1700 The theatre will also be renamed though the name has not yet been decided upon shows to be given at the Wilkes WIlles will consist of six acts of vaudeville and a musical comedy running forty forty- five minutes and reqUiring the services of about sixty five persons Three performances dally daily will be given at 2 I l 7 and 9 p. p m. m The circuit operates theatres theatres the the- atres In st. st Paul Butte Helena Winnipeg Winni- Winni peg Seattle Tacoma Portland San Francisco San Jose Joso Stockton Sacramento Sacra Sacra- mento Fresno Los Angeles San Diego Denver Minneapolis l and Vancouver B.
