Show j Houghton-Pickering Wedding Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Houghton of Copperton announce the 'forthcoming 'forth-coming marriage of a daughter, Miss Betty Lou Houghton, to Stephen C. Pickering, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen D. Pickering Picker-ing of Copperton. The wedding will take place Wednesday afternoon, September 15 in the president's suite of the Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City, followed fol-lowed by a reception that evening even-ing in Copperton LDS ward chapel. cha-pel. Bishop Rex B. Garrett will solemnize the double ring ceremony. cere-mony. For her wedding the bride has selected a gown of heavy cream satin styled with nylon yoke, full train, long sleeves and high neckline. neck-line. Her veil of imported illusion illus-ion will be fastened to a seed pearl crown of orange blossoms and she'll carry a white bridal bouquet. Attendants will be Mrs. S. E. Cowan of Provo, aunt of the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids will be Mrs. Ivor Pickering of Arthur, Miss Jean Houghton, sister sis-ter of the bride and Miss Vida Rae Poulson. Ann Houghton, sister sis-ter of the bride, will be flower girl. Best man for his brother will be Ivor Pickering. LaVar Houghton Hough-ton and Howard Atkinson will be ushers. The couple will honeymoon in California after which they will make their home in Salt Lake. |
