Wbea tha conferee, on tbe wool tariff reviaioa bill met today, Senator La Follette aad Rep-reeeatative Rep-reeeatative Uaderwood war appointed a subcommittee to eonaider and report oa tka diffareaeaa between the two honses. Tho motion for their appointment, appoint-ment, made by Senator Bailey, waa oa the gronad that they represent the extreme ex-treme elementa of tko senate aad koaao respectively. With a full attendance aad deter-; mined upon prompt aetioa tha committee commit-tee met at 10 o 'clock. - Senator Penroae, aa chairmaa of tha aenate branch of tho committee, bad scarcely called tha committee to order when Senator Bailey suggested a transfer trans-fer of the details of tha proposed compromise com-promise to tho Wisconsin senator and iha chairmaa of tho ways aad means committee. Thera waa ao oppositioa. There was, however, soma discussion, bringing out general recognition that tha two man represent all tho differences that exist between the two houses. All tho committee com-mittee members agreed today that if they could get togetaer. thera would bo 1 no further delay in reachiag a complete com-plete settlement.
