Show ARTHUR MILL HAS THREE REMODELED SECTIONS RUNNING Previous to his departure for the Ray and Chinu properties General Manager 1). C. Jackling made an inspection of the Utah Copper mine a,nd mill plants yesterday. He said this morning morn-ing that everything at Bingham was in good shape and that they were making mak-ing god progress with the railroad construction. con-struction. They expect to send the first trains over this line early in the sum-a mer, after which they will be in po-' itjon to begin a larger extraction at any time the metal market conditions warrant an increased output. Three sections of the Arthur mill have been remodeled and placed in commission. com-mission. Within about a month there will be a couple mors sections of the plant commissioned and this reconstruction recon-struction will be continued until the entire en-tire plant of thirteen sections has been overhauled. When completed this plant will have a capacity of from 6000 to 8000 tons daily. : The entire Magna plant is being operated. op-erated. The new installation- in that plant is giving the bast of sstiifsn. Uoo. though no attempt ts being made to run it at full capacity. It ia. the policy of the management to keep each of the sections in this plant in running order, so that at any moment orders are given to turn out more copper cop-per it can be done without the loss of a single day. When both the mills of the company are renuired to run at the highest stage of efficiency 20,000 tons of crude ore can be put through these plants every twenty four hours. Accompanying Mr. .Tacking on the southern trip will be Mill Superintend ent Janney. Both the Kay and Chino properties will be inspected. The Bay mill is now operating with two nnits and treating on an average upwards of 2000 tons. The Chino mill will commission com-mission its first unit about the middle of July. TIKTIO OBE SHIPMENTS.
