The lad, who was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Btraa-berr. Btraa-berr. went to the liver with several other companions to swim. Ollbert waa the first ready for the water, according to his companlone. and immediately dived off the point Into tha stream. The boy waa a member of Boy Scout troop No. 311 and was considered a good swimmer. swim-mer. His companions were horrified horri-fied whan they heard hire crying fof help In midstream. Moat of them ran to the Straaberg home, twelve blocks away, to summon help, while othera stood on the bank practically helpless while their companion died. The father notified, the police and l sheriff departments and each de-V de-V tailed man to the search for the body, which had not been found pp to noon today. The drowned boy was a member of McKlnley school and is survived by seven brothers and three alsters In addition to his parents. |
