Show ARGUMENTS IS COAL CASES Arguments were heard today before Judge Marshall on the demurrer filed by defendants in the case of the United States against the Union Pacific Coal company, the Union Pacific Railroad, company, the Oregon Short Line, Everett Ever-ett Buckingham and James M. Moore, in which the latter are accused of conspiring con-spiring to violate Interstate Commerce laws. Defendants were represented by P. Ij. Williams, C. 8. Varian, George H. Smith and J. O. Willis, who contended that the statutes bearing on the case are invalid. United States District Attorney At-torney Booth appeared for the Government. |
