The accident happened at 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Am quickly as possible the patrol wagon was summoned and Whltcomb was taken to St. Mark's hospital, where It was found necessary to remove the right leg above the knee, and the left leg a few Inches below the knee. Whltcomb passed a fairly good night and was reported as being as well as could be expected this morning with the chances that he would recover. |
