Show WREATHS Of FLOWERS PLACED AT FEET OF STATUE BY CHILDREN Ceremony of Crowning the Virgin Observed at St Mary's. The annual ceremony of coronation took place In 8t. Mary's cathedral last night and the i-rownlng of the blessed Virgin Mary was performed "by more than one hundred little children, who bore garlands gar-lands of flowers to the altar, and who removed beautiful wreaths from their own heads to place them at the feet of tbe statue. The children were led In their march from cathedral hall lo the cathedral by Anna Audea, Beryl Gray and the banner bearers. Grace Hogan. After the ro-aary ro-aary and litany, the coronation service was begun with a hymn to the blessed Virgin, sung by the children and the cbolr of the cathedral. The acta of consecration consecra-tion wera read by Celeate Laramie and Margaret Owens. Marguerite Loeke of tbe Junior choir sang the coronation hymn, "Hall Mary." The voices of lno little children took up the refrain and the Rev. Father James McNally and the sanctuary boys led the procession to the altar. When the altar waa reached Gladys Cecelia Rellley mounted the white ladder and elsexl s wreath of beautiful flow-era flow-era on the head of the statue. Her cousins, cous-ins, James Rellley, Jr.. Enid and Helen Relllev. followed and left exquisite wreaths at the foot of the statue The little flower girls who left wreaths at the foot of the statue were: Maude Bhrl-ber, Bhrl-ber, Lucille McOean. Father Jamee McNally delivered an eloquent elo-quent sermon on the "Blessed Virgin. Benediction of the blessed sacrament waa given and the ceremony was ended. The training of the children was conducted con-ducted by the officers of the Children of Mary sodality, to whom much credit Is due for the beautiful msnner In which It waa conducted.
