Show , EIGHT STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM U Eight students from Bingham district Attelio Azzelio, James P. Brown, Ben Ely Culbertson, Roy A. Mitchell, Wilma Murdock, Clyde S. Nichols. Steve Smilanich Smilan-ich and Nick S. Vidalakis, were graduated Tuesday, June 13, from the University of Utah with the largest class in the history of the century-old institution. Principal speakers at the 81st annual commencement rites which were held for the third year in Stadium Bowl were Hon. Harold M. Stephens, chief justice jus-tice of the U. S. court of appeals, District of Columbia, and Dr. A. Ray Olpin, president of the university. uni-versity. Judge Stephens awarded an honorary doctors of laws degree de-gree at the services, spoke on "The Vocation of Citizenship". The graduates, members of the university's centennial class are: Mr. Azzelio, son of Mrs. Josephine Jo-sephine Azzelio of Highland Boy, was awarded a bachelor of fine arts degree from the college of fine arts. He majored in art. He attended Carbon high school where he was active in athletics. Mr. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brown of Copperton, was awarded a bachelor of science sci-ence degree from the college of business. His major was marketing. market-ing. He attended Bingham high school where he was active in athletics and served as a student body officer. Mr. Culbertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Culbertson of Copper-ton, Copper-ton, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in the university college. His major was in history. his-tory. He attended Bingham high school. Mr. Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Mitchell of Bingham Bing-ham Canyon, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in the college of engineering. He majored ma-jored in electrical engineering. He attended Bingham high school where he was active in school affairs. Miss Murdock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Murdock of Bingham Canyon, was awarded a bachelor of science degree with high school certificate from the college of education. She majored major-ed in social science. She attended Thomas Blackfoot high school where she was active in student affairs. She was a member of i Alpha Delta Pi sorority at the U. Mr. Nichols, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Nichols of Copperton, was awarded a bachelor of science sci-ence degree with high school certificate cer-tificate from the college of education. edu-cation. His major was physical education.
