Show BINGHAM CENSUS SHOWSDECREASE According to a preliminary 1950 population report issued Wednesday by Milton E. Allred, district supervisor, U. S. Census bureau, Bingham, which rose from 2676 in 1920 to 3248 in 1930, fell to 2834 in 1940 and to 2570 in 1950. This figure shows a decrease de-crease of 264 since the 1940 count. Many residents having moved from the canyon to nearby valley val-ley locations is reason given for the decrease. In 1950 figures of unincorporated unincorpor-ated areas in Bingham district Copperfield had 878 and Copper-ton Copper-ton had 790. The above figures are the only ones available at this time. O |
