Show BANNER CARD FOR VISITING EDUCATORS Al Ward, who has been the "king pin" of the riders at the Wandamere motordrome this season, has returned from his vacation aud will be back in the game for tomorrow night's race magi Tomorrow is N. E. A. day at the resort. re-sort. Thousands of visitors are expected expect-ed to spend the day in the park and it is the intention of Msnager Harry Hea-greu Hea-greu of the motordrome to put on a card of motor raees thst will give them something to tell their frieads about when they go back home. The riders have all been tuning their motors up to the highest speed aid some record breaking is looked for, especially es-pecially in the N. K. A. six-mile open, which is a "free for all" race, and every rider now at the track will start. There will be no heats just one big race for the money. Billy Samuelson made his debut last week in the class A races, but was somewhat disappointed as ne lanea to finish better than third, but he says bis machine is going better now aod that Ward, Whittler and McNeil will have to ride inside of record time if they beat him across the tape tomorrow night. The Whittler McNeil match race at ; three miles, best two in three heats, is ! also causing considerable interest, and will probably result in one of the most bitterly contested matches ever seen at the local track. In addition to the match race and the N. E. A. stakes there will be at least two class B and one other class A race to fill out the program. There are more riders now at the track than at any previous meet this year, and as Manager Heagren has washed his hands of the bicycle races he Intends to make this the banner year at the motordrome. The raees will start at 8: SO, as usual. |
