Show ORDERS RECEIVED AT OMAHA. OMAHA, Nsb. Feb. 88. Osn. F A. Smith received orders shortly sfter noon todsy for the movement of the fifth brigade, bri-gade, second division, to Galveston. The regiments of tbe fifth brigade are the fourth Infantry, stationed at Port Crook. Nsb.: the seventh, at Fort Leavenworth, Leav-enworth, Kan.: the nineteenth at Fort Meade. 8. D. ; the twenty-eighth, at Fort Snelllng. Minn. Oeneral Smith statsd today that the troops will be reedy to satraln within twelve hours sfter orders an received, and railroad offlclalf asld from four to seventy hours would be require,! for special spe-cial trains to be prepared and reach the present stations of the troops. Officers st Fort Crook expressed ths opinion that the fourth regiment will not leave there before Monday. |
