Husbands testified that he an swered the call In the patrol waeron Friday Fri-day night and took Haaaan to the police station. The Turk was drunk and also appeared to be sick. Hs aaw no one etnke or beat him. he aald. O. C. Brown, patrol driver, testified that he answered the call and that the Turk spa Sara to ba drunk. H. K Umltb testified that he drove the patrol that took tha Turk from the city Jail t. a Oreek coffee houee last Sunday morning, that the man appeared to be eick and In pain. Cliet Moetorkas. proprietor of a Oreek coffee house at IN West Becrrrvl South street, testified that he had known the Turk about two years. He was quiet and not given to getting Into quarrels with any one, he said. He saw the Turk Friday Fri-day night He waa drunk when he came lata the coffee house and bad a bottle of wise with him. The Turk left the coffee houee about 11 p. m Friday and later the witness heard Patrolman Anderson tell him that he bad better go somewhere aad go to bad. The Turk entered She coffee house again and remained for a short time Mack KerkerVsa. a waiter In tha coffee house, testified that he aaw the Turk In the coffee house Friday night and that he waa drunk Ha saw no fight Witness saw the Turk next Sunday night at the Ooldkeld hotel. Hassan told witness that the police had beat htm while he was in Jail, but did not give detglls. J.
