Show JUSTICE SETS DRIVERS TRIAL LAYTON Permitted to plead not guilty after having been fined for reckless driving, E. V. Steed of Hooper will be tried Monday before Justice of the Peace J. B. Cooley at Layton. Arrested a short distance north of Farmlngton junction by State Highway Patrolman George Pazell and Deputy Sheriff Reed Ovlatt after other motorists complained he forced them from the highway, Steed pleaded guilty and was fined (75 for reckless driving and SZ50 because he had no driver's license. Before payment of the fines, the case was reopened and Steed wss permitted to change his plea. A bench warrant was issued by Justice of the Peace Walter Rampton of Farmlngton for He-ber He-ber C. Hoggan, 2681 Chad wick street. Salt Lake City, driver for Burlington Trailways, who failed to pay a $20 speeding fine imposed im-posed September 24. |
