Show Police Push Investigation Of 2 S. L.-Traffic-Deaths Police investigation into the deaths of Mrs. Minnie P. Matthews, 68, of 986 Garfield avenue, and Deon Iverson, 8, of 37 North Seventh West street, pedestrian victim of week-end city traffic accidents, was being continued Tuesday. Traffic Investigators L. W. Pelree and F. Clark Sanford, In charge of both cases, said facts, when completed will be turned over to the Salt" Lake county attorney's office. Mrs. Matthews was killed Sunday Sun-day evening when a car operated by William E. Racker, 1753 Ninth East street, struck her as she attempted at-tempted to cross Ninth East street at Garfield avenue. Mr. Racker, X, was not held. Young Iverson, son of Patrolman Patrol-man and Mrs. LeRoy Iverson, was killed Saturday evening by a car which struck him and a compan ion, Rodney Ball, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert E. Ball of 3314 Ninth East street. South Salt Lake, as they walked In a pedestrian pedes-trian lane across North Temple street at Seventh West street Rodney, seriously Injured, Is In "poor" condition at the L. D. S. hospital. The driver, according to the Investigators, In-vestigators, was Edwin Greguhn, 27, rear of 634 Warnock avenue (East 3461 South street), who denied de-nied a reckless driving charge when arraigned Monday In city I police court. |
