Show LONG ILLNESS PROVES FATAL SPRINGVILLE William Alma McKensie, Tt. retired business leader lead-er of thisi city, died late Friday following fol-lowing a long illaeae at the family residence, 1M South Second Weet street He was born In Springville, August Au-gust 14. 1140, a son of George and Elisabeth Wood McKensie, early pioneers. During his early life he freighted provisions from Salt Lake City to plnoeer families throughout Utah and other western states. He later became Interested In railroad con-etruction con-etruction work and engaged in this business for a number of years. He had been associated with local road contract companies in recent year and at the time of death was associated asso-ciated with the Reynolds-Ely com-psny. com-psny. He was a director of the Springville Spring-ville Banking company, a director of the Kolob Lumber company of Springville and was Interested In the Builders' Finance company of Salt Lake City. Until 135. when he waa forced to retire because of ill health, he had managed one of the most successful success-ful farms' in this area. He married Ellea Falkner on September Sep-tember 2. 1SU. in Salt Lake City. After her death, he married Ellea Grace 8u melon. December 5, IBM. Surviving besides the widow are six sons and daughtera: Mra. Bertha Knowlden of Hollywood. Cal : William Wil-liam O) McKensie of Seattle.
