Show S. L. Civic Music Association To Present Noted Piano Duo A fifth attraction the Luboshutz-Nemenoff piano duo has been engaged by officers of the Salt Lake Civic Music association for the 1937-38 season. The other four will include Rudolph Serkin, pianist; the Salzburg Opera Guild; Ezio Pinza, Metropolitan Opera bass; and Nathan Mllstein, violinist. The membership campaign not only waa auccessful In completely filling tha roster to 1700, but several hundred applications had to be placed on the waiting list. This year's campaign also aet a new record rec-ord by closing a day enrly. Pierre Luboshuti. the masculine' member of the Luboshutz-Nemenoff1 team, will be remembered by many as the gifted accompanist who sp- peered with the late Paul Korhan-sky Korhan-sky and contributed ao much to the auccess of the four concerts given I here by the Polish violinist. Ceniaj Nemenoff, who In private life ia Mrs. Luboshutz, waa born in Paris, where ah studied with Isidor Phillpp. The first attraction open to Civic Music members will be held in Og-den Og-den November 30. when the Ogden Community Chest Concert association associa-tion presents the Jooas ballet at the new high school. Membership carda will be sent out to members about November 20. at which time dates for all attractions will be announced. Concerts will be held in Kingsbury halt |
