Show Fine Honor For Utah Woman SELECTION of Mrs. A. H. Means, deputy commissioner of the Salt Lake Girl Scout council, as regional member of the national board of directors is a fine compliment to her devotion to the Girl Scout movement and her effective service at home. Mrs. Means' Jurisdiction Juris-diction will embrace Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada. Mrs. Means' rise in Girl Scouting has been "from the ranks." She has captained three Girl Scout troops here, has been chairman of the regional Rocky Mountain camp committee and an untiring and resourceful deputy commissioner. commission-er. She succeeds Mrs. Henry J. Plumhof, also f Salt Lake City, whose term hss expired. The announcement comes from Savannah, Georgia, where the twenty-third annual convention conven-tion of the organization has Just concluded its sessions and where Mrs. Frederick H. Brooke, Washington, D. C, was elected national president presi-dent Mrs. Brooke succeeds Mrs. Herbert Hoover. Mrs. Means sttended the gathering and Is expected to return here this week to undertake under-take her new duties. |
