Show GROUP GREETED BY ROOSEVELT Christmas greetings from President Presi-dent Roosevelt to the 430,000 members mem-bers of the Girl Scout organisation organisa-tion throughout the country were received Tuesday by the local council. coun-cil. The message follows: To the National Girl Scouts: "Christmas Is a specially happy season because It stirs the whole world with feelings of love and kindness jnddcir for service. wherever its true message Is understood. under-stood. I hope this will he a particularly par-ticularly happy Christmas' for all Girt Scouts in America and that the high ideals and purposes for which you strive will be achieved in full measure during the coming year." Carols Sung Prepared for Christmas celebration celebra-tion after two months of practice, about 50 singers from all troops of the city began their caroling Tuesday. Tues-day. Following a radio broadcast at 11 a. m., they sang on the mei-ssnine mei-ssnine floor of the Hotel Utah until 12:15 p. m. At 1:45 p. m. they appeared ap-peared at the Civic Center for the Wasatch Literary club, and then held an "at home" program at Girl Scout headquarters In the Beason building. They were to entertain the blind at the blind workshop and recreation center, 138 Second East street, at J prm. To Visit Hospitals Traveling by special bus on Christmas eve, the girls will sing at St. Mark's hospital, L D. S. Primary Pri-mary Children's hospital. Y. W. C. A. residence, Sarah Daft home, the Salt Lake General hospital and the county infirmary.
