Orlob, prominent lUf ar broker of Salt Lake City, was cleared of complicity com-plicity in an illicit alcohol conspiracy con-spiracy la federal court here Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. Orlob, this morning, said: "After a full week of evidence presented by the government, the court, presided over by Federal Judge Frank Norcrosa, refused to permit the Jury even to consider the charge against me and peremptorily peremp-torily directed the jury to return a verdict of not guilty. "I was called as a witness for another defendant. Phil Foogert, alleged head of the ring, and offered of-fered to testify on the whole matter mat-ter and the government did not ask a single question. I testified testi-fied that I never had aeen nor heard of Foogert. The special agent for the government, who la reported report-ed to have spent large sums of money on this case, failed to show up his charges by testifying himself." him-self."
