Show Brigham City Defies Stale Health Board Tool hall owners at Brigham City have defied the state board of J j health and In spite of the order i stipulating that all such establishments establish-ments must be kept closed until the I ban is lifted, have reopened their premises. Dr. T. B. Beatty. secretary of the state board of health, instruct- j ed John 11. Burt of Brigham City, j when he learned that the poil halls had opened yesterday to cause the i arrest of the offenders. Mr. Burt i is health officer and also city marshal. mar-shal. He refuses to act as ordered , by state authority. It is contended by residents at j Brttham City that since no ordi- j nance has ben passed by the city calling for the closing of the pool halls a rut theatres t hat the can open and remain open. In view of the attitude in that community ft la possible that the state board of health will desia- J nate an officer to see that tie J j ders are curried out.
