Show Miss Gutke's Date Book Is Filled There's always a. party In line for a bride-to-be and lists of entertainments are always being made to fill their date books. The first of Miss Mildred Gutke's parties has been set for Thursday, hostess for which will be her future mother-in-law, Mrs. Lorenzo Smith, 1247 McClelland Mc-Clelland street. It's to be a miscellaneous mis-cellaneous shower for members of the family of the future bridegroom, Edward L. Smith. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Galbraith, 2635 Highland drive, will be hosts at a dinner din-ner party at their home, and on January 21 Mrs. H. J. Chris-tenbury Chris-tenbury will entertain 12 friends at bridge and a miscellaneous shower at her home, 1453 Westminster West-minster avenue. The final party planned to date is for Miss Gutke and her fiance, and will be given January Jan-uary 22 bv Miss Mildred Badger, 1235 McClelland street. The couple will be married January 25 at the Lion House social center, 63 East South Temple street, and after a wedding wed-ding trip to southern California they will reside In Salt Lake City. Marianne Madten To Be Honored Friends are planning several parties and showers for Miss Marianne Ma-rianne E. Madsen, daughter of Mrs. James Peter Madsen, 460 . First avenue, before her marriage mar-riage Friday evening to H. Frederick Davis. Monday evening Mrs. Dale R. Wilde, 153 Seventh East street will entertain for Miss Madsen at a shower. Mrs. L, H. Car-wile Car-wile held a luncheon In her honor hon-or Saturday at the Hotel Utah. Other parties are being planned during the week complimenting the bride-elect. |
