Show Judge Mentor Dies in Swim Accident EAST DUBUQLTC. HI. July 7 The football coach at Judge Memorial high school in Sslt Lake City drowned Wednesdsy whils on a vacation trip. He was Bill Moran, about 30. He drowned la waist deep water at a beach on the Mississippi river. Moran was reported to have gone swimming with Richard Fuerst of Dubuque snd to have gone down only a few minutes after he went into the water. According to his brother Roger, Moras was able to swim, but for the psst three or four years he had been subject to spells when he seemed unsbls to coordinate his movements and suffered a alight paralysis. His brother, who wss told that no shout for help was heard, felt that perhapa a similar spell waa tha causa of the drowning. , Authorities dragged the ares for two hours without success. His 1948 football team was undefeated. Moran coached for three years st Judge Memorisl high school with his 1948 team winning the stste , clsas B football championship. His Bulldog basketball teams were sl-i sl-i wsys consistent contenders but never powerhouses. His 1949 baseball base-ball squad tied with Bingham for one division of the dismond title and then lost In a playofL Morsn was one of the most outstanding out-standing all-around athletes sver to come out of Lorss.
