Mr- Schuh. who arrived In Salt Lake City Thursday afternoon to address a special meeting of tha Utah association at 7:30 p. m. Thursday In tha Newhouso hotel, declared that service station operators opera-tors throughout the country are confronted with price wars. One of the major difficulties of aervice station operators Is ths fact that there are now 3 18,000 stations In the Vnlted Statee when 300,000 could care for the trade. "Sana marketing," he said, "Is the answer. We must maintain a price on petroleum products that will give the retailer a fair profit and yet the profit must be kept within reason rea-son In order to keep every Tom, Iick and Harry from installing a couple at curbeide pumps." |
