SI The senate approved unanimously today a aeries of amendments to the 1728,-000,000 1728,-000,000 deficiency relief bill designed to prevent political us of federal funds. Tha amendment, sponsored by Senator Hatch (D, N. M ), would apply In past ta relief funda only and ia pan to all federal expenditures expendi-tures and aH government employee. Similar proposals were defeated by the aenate after a hot battle last year. One of tha amendments would make It unlawful for any person to promise a federal job a a reward for political activity or political support. Anothsr would prohibit any supervisory super-visory or administrative employe paid out of thla year's relief funds to threaten to deprive any other person of relief benefits.
