Show Medal Awarded West Hi Girl in Home Contest Spanish Club Prizes Also Presented; Winner of Beard Contest Named Mildred Nichols was awarded the gold medal presented each year in the homemaklng contest sponsored for West high girls by the Daughters Daugh-ters of the American Revolution at the annual award assembly Thursday. Thurs-day. The contest this year was for making dresses for graduation. The certificate for second prize was awarded Julia Pla. Honorable mentions men-tions were given Ellen Pederson. Stella Chades Sarah Robinson and Thelma Hill. Another feature of the assembly was the awarding of the Spanish club medal to Llnnle Parker. This award Is presented annually to the student who has done th most outstanding out-standing work In Spanish during the year. Miss Parker's achievement achieve-ment was the completion of three years of the language In two years. ' During this time she maintained the highest grades. The winner of the beard-growing contest at the school was chosen at the award assembly by Miss Eliza- , beth FltxOemld. assistant principal; princi-pal; rVed D.
