Show KHIGETS OF THE GRIP RULE CITY OF LOGAN , Royal Welcome is Extended to Salesmen of Utah by Enterprising: Citizens. LOGAN, Utah. June 2. The Commercial Commer-cial Travelers of Utah are In 'full possession pos-session of everything In Logan today. Fully 400 of the traveling salesmen arrived ar-rived here yesterday on a special train. Among the guests of the city were Senators Sen-ators Thomas Kearns and Reed Smoot, Congressman Howells and President Hewlett of the Salt Lake City Council. The city had been handsomely decorated, deco-rated, business houses and residences ying with each other to make the most notable appearance. The telephone and telegraph . poles were festooned and swathed in national colors. - The commercial travelers marched In a. parade from the depot to the bust- i the Co-op - Drug company and Lund-strom Lund-strom Furniture company. Best mounted horseman, prise $5 B. T. Pyper. Best mounted horsewoman, prise $5 Mlsa Harris. Best mechanic's outfit, prize $5 Preston, Pres-ton, Pyper A Co.'s paper-hanger. Best decorated bicycle, prlxe $5 Miss Hattle Lawson. The cadet prise was not competed for and was awarded to the Croydon Jewelry Jew-elry company, dose competitors for the first prise in floats. In the baseball game the commercial travelers beat the Logan merchants In an exciting contest with the score of 10 to I. The game was witnessed by fully 5000 persons.
