Show PROMOTION FOR JUDGE RIMER IS ROW URGED ' A petition asking that Judge John A. RIner be appointed to the United States .Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eighth circuit upon the retirement of Judge Henry C. Caldwell has been signed by nearly every lawyer in Salt Lake. The retirement of Judge Caldwell Is "expected daily, as he has reached the age limit of 70 years, when he can retire re-tire on full pay. The movement for the appointment of Judge RIner was started in Wyoming, where he has occupied the United States District bench for twelve years. The barristers of -Utah and Colorado have taken heartily to the suggestion of the Wyoming pleaders, and Judge Rlner's indorsements will be the strongest possible. pos-sible. The petition is being handled here by Attorney P. L. Williams. Judge Rlner's only probable dangerous danger-ous competitors are Judge Hook of the Kansas and Judge Shlras of the Iowa United States District court. The States and Territories comprising the Eighth circuit are Utah. Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, 'Arkansas, 'Ar-kansas, Indian Territory, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
