A sample sent up from the Hecker property by Manager Hardy yesterday gave returns of 151.8 ounces sliver and 58.7 per cent lead. Superintendent Mitchell of the Del La Mar Extension company came up from that Nevada property last night. John J. Broughall has resigned as superintendent of the Daly-Judge, owing ow-ing to ill-health. Mr. and Mrs. Broughall Broug-hall will leave shortly for New York. VICTOB'S CONTRACT. A' contract was closed yesterday between be-tween the Bingham Consolidated smelter smel-ter and the Victor Consolidated Mining company, whereby the high-grade copper cop-per output of the latter will be treated by the Bingham smelter. The management of the Victor contemplates con-templates forwarding about eight cars of ore a week. MONTH'S BULLION OUTPUT CLOSE TO THREE "MILLIONS. For the month of March the bullion output of the valley smelters amounted to $2,784,479. This Includes the output of the independents also. The Copper King-Mining company's mines and mill In Mil ford district have' been closed down by the company's employees, em-ployees, under attachment proceedings. The miners assert that they have received re-ceived no wages for several -months and, falling to secure a settlement from the company, they united to bring action against , the company and closed down the property by securing an attachment or the amount alleged to be due. |
