Show Remtrnbtr the Orphans. An appeal has been issued by those in charge of the Orphans' Home for materials for a Thanksgiving dinner for the little ones at that institution. THAT APPEAL SHOULD TOUCH THE HEARTS AND OPEN THE POCKETBOOIvS OF THE PEOPLE OF SALT LAKE. To be a child without father and mother and compelled com-pelled to spend what should be the sweetest- and happiest part of life in a public institution is sad enough to think of and Badder to experience. Those who have children of their own and those whdse memories fondly cling to the days of childhood and the joy of childhood's home should not have to be urged to respond to this appeal. LET US DO SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR. LET US MAKE OTHERS HAPPY. LET US SEE TO IT THAT THOSE POOR LITTLE WAIFS OUT IN THE ORPHANS' HOME GET THE BEST DINNER THEY HAVE EVER EATEN. The memories of childhood live long. IT WILL BE WORTH SOMETHING TO KNOW WHEN-THE WHEN-THE CLOSE OF LIFE DRAWS NIGH that there is still a feeling of gratitude in some heart for what you did on Thanksgiving day, 1904, to make a child happier. |
