Show Flash the Streets. It has been a long time since we had rain. The streets of the city are covered with dust, which is no doubt responsible for the many colds and catarrhal affections from which so many persons are suffering. No effort is made to clean the streets properly. Sprinkling carts go over them once in a while, but the moisture jhey apply dries up in a few minutes and THE PROCESS RESULTS ONLY IN REFRESHING RE-FRESHING AND INVIGORATING THE MICROBES MI-CROBES THAT CAUSE DISEASE. One or two evenings a week Bweepers go over the streets, stirring stir-ring up the dust and filling the air with it. They remove re-move some of the dirt, but there is always plenty left. The way to clean the streeets is to flush them. There is plenty of water and plenty of hose. LET THE IMPROVED STREETSBE FLUSHED TWO OR THREE NIGHTS A WEEK AFTER TRAVEL HAS CEASED AND -THE CITY WILL BE CLEAN. THE PRESENT SYSTEM IS WORTHLESS. |
