Senator Smoot will banquet the members of the Legislature Friday next inHhis city. The arrangements as at present made are that. the Governor and staff, members mem-bers of the Legislature, State officers and officers of the Legislature, accompanied accom-panied by ladies, will leave Salt Lake Friday at 1 o'clock for Provo on a special spe-cial Oregon Short Line train provided by Senator Smoot. On arriving at Provo the visitors will be taken in charge by a "committee of citizens appointed ap-pointed by Mayor Taylor and the City Council and the afternoon will be devoted de-voted to sightseeing. The State. mental men-tal hospital, the Brlgham Young acad- eray and the Provo woolen mills will be visited by the lawmakers and those who accompany them, who will be the guests of the city during the. afternoon., . In the evening the banquet will be given at I the operahouse, commencing at .7 o'clock. . Following this will be a legislative ball, given In honor of the visitors by Provo citizens in the Mozart pavilion.. The train will return to Salt Lake after af-ter the ball, at an hour to be decided upon by the visitors. |
