AND FIFTY CENTS PER MONTH, furnished by charitable friends, is one that should "pQll at, the heart strings of every person in Salt Lake, who realizes what poverty means to a .woman in Miss Johnson's condition. Investigation proves that this is a most deserving case. Too sensitive and proud to even let the public pub-lic suspect that she is in absolute want, this brave cripple who carries a lion's heart in a body tortured, bent and racked by pain, has made a heroic struggle strug-gle to maintain her independence. It is not an act of charity to aid such a woman as Miss . Johnson. It is a privilege to be able to pay tribute to such sterling qualities as this noble woman possesses. And any assistance the public sees' fit to render this splendid type of womanhood will be well placed. Let generous-Salt Lakers bear in mind the condition condi-tion of this unfortunate woman to whom Plenty was never King! |
