Show BOLTING TEAMSTERS KEEP UP STRIKE CHICAGO, Aug. 9.7-Confronted by the certainty that the International Broth- erhood Of Teamsters would re-elect President C. P. Shea and his chosen ticket, the Insurgents who bolted the regular convention of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters yesterday kept up their "strike" .today against the Shea contingent. Overtures were ignored by the bolters, who proceeded to organize a convention of their own and planned to adopt bylaws by-laws and a constitution.' They insisted that they would never be reconciled to tbe rule of President Shea. Officers slated for election by the "regular" faction fac-tion today are: President. C. P. Shea, Boston; vlce-preeldents, vlce-preeldents, Ed Mullen, Chicago; J. B McCarthy, Chicago; George F. Golden,' Chicago; C. F. O'Neill. Buffalo: W. J. Gibbons, Chicago, and J. Oeary. St. Paul; secretary-treasurer. Thomas L. Hughes. Chicago; auditor, George W. Brlggs. Chicago; Chi-cago; trustees, James Welch, New Orleans; Or-leans; John Longstreet, Cincinnati; John Butler, Chicago; delegates to American Federation of Labor. Emmet Flood, Chicago; Chi-cago; Lawrence Grace. Providence, R. I.; T. Toone, Washington, D. C; Thomas Barry. Chicago. President Shea declared the election would be carried through according to programme as soon as officers' reports were read today. |
