E. Lvnch receives more votes in Salt Lake City than "W. J. Lynch received re-ceived last year; $50 even that Harry Joseph will not be elected; $50 even; that Americans elect a majority of their ticket in Salt Lake county; $50 that Weber polls 9500 votea in Salt Lake Cily; $75 to $100 that neither 'Kmerv nor Hanson is elected; $10 even that Tom Pitt is elected by a plurality of 250. Democrats are apparently taking hope as witnessed by the following two small bets offered on the boards this afternoon: Fifteen dollars to $20 that the Democrats Demo-crats beat the Americans in Salt Lake rountv; by 600 votes; $10 to $50 that Powers beats Howell in the State. It was announced on "Brokers' row" this afternoon that the Democrats Demo-crats had a little money and that they would get into the betting game before be-fore the day was over. |
