Show TRIES TO CUT HIS THROAT WITH AN AX A. E. McCann, a signalman employed at the Oregon Short Line at Third West and Second South street, tried to commit suicide yesterday afternoon. McCann used as bis method of would-be elf-destruction an ax with which be tried to cut his throat. For over a year he has attended to his duties and has lived in a Utile house near the scene of his attempted suicide. Some time ago his wife Mt him and went East, taking with her their only child.
