KANSAS CITY, April 9.-At the annual conference of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, being held at Independence, Mo., William Lewis preached a sermon at the morning session ses-sion today. The business session was resumed re-sumed in the afternoon Yesterday nine sermons were preached by different members of the church, and were listened to by an aggregate 6f 10.000 persona Alvln Knlealey of Canada preached on "The Book of Mormbti; Its History and Authenticity," while Herman C. Smith of Lamonl, la., explained the differences between the Latter-day Saints of this part of the county and the Utah Mormons, and denounced the practice of polygamy. - '
