Show BRYAN SAILS FOR SWEDEN'S CAPITAL ST. PETERSBURG. June 1J. William J. Bryan .sailed this afternoon for Stockholm. Stock-holm. He 'devoted the last day of his stay ln St. Petersburg to a call on Premier Pre-mier Goremykiii, with whom he had an hour's talk, and to another visit to the lower house of Parliament, where he remained re-mained throughout the morning session. For a time Mr. Bryan was the center of attraction In the lobby of -the House, holding a regular reception of the members mem-bers of Parliament who were anxious to be presented. Deputations of Jews and Poles wsnted him to define his attitude on questions affecting them, and he was besieged by foreign and Russian correspondents anxious anx-ious to secure, his views on the outcome of the Parliamentary struggle here. But beyond an expression of profound Interest Inter-est ln the fight the Russian people were making for liberty and the deep Impression- made upon him by the Russian Perils ment, Mr. Bryan declined to make a statement. |
