Show THE VOTING MACHINE. ' An agent of the Standard voting machine is here , and has one of the machines on exhibition in the city and county building. Its virtues are: (1) no mistake can be made in voting; (2) the election officers can make no mistake, and can commit no fraud in its use; (3) it expedites voting very much; (4) it gives the entire result of the election the moment the polls close, and (5) makes election contests impossible. When once installed it takes away half the expense of holding election. It is in use in more than a hundred hun-dred large cities and a great many smaller towns, and its perfect work is no longer criticised. If this city can afford to purchase the machines they ought to be bought and installed. |
