Show SECURE RELEASE FROM THE SCHOOL Habeas Corpus Proceedings Proceed-ings in the HcDaniel Case are Continued. i . - .. The bearing of the habeas corpus petition pe-tition for the release of Clarence Mc-Danlel Mc-Danlel from the State Industrial school at Ogden was continued this morning by Judge Morse to January 5. The request re-quest was made by Stephens A Smith, who are associated with Assistant County Attorney Hanson In defending Superintendent Thomas of the school. The boy was . released without bond pending a hearing of the case. Attorneys Stephens and Smith declared de-clared that they desired to enter into the case more thoroughly before testing test-ing the validity of the law and the right of Judge Willis Brown to sit as a Judge of the Juvenile court. The petitioner, pe-titioner, Mrs. A. L. McDaniel. was represented rep-resented In court by Attorneys J. L. Rawlins. J. H. Moyle. Ray Van Cott and John H. Bailey, Jr. A similar case will be heard before Judge Howell at Ogden on December 16, The petitioner Is Harry Benson. He will be represented by Attorney Arthur E. Chrietensen, and County Attorney P. P. Christensen will represent H. H. Thomas, superintendent of the Industrial Indus-trial school. |
