Show THOMAS WILLIAMS BUYS A BIG STABLE SAN FRANCISCO. Dec. 2. Thomas Williams, president of the California Jockey club, it is said, will shortly resume re-sume his position as one of the big turfmen turf-men of America. The purchase of a new stable will soon be commenced, with which the Californian will commence an Eastern campaign. Horses from the Williams stable will be raced exclusively exclusive-ly in the Kast. and will not be seen on the local tracks. A decade ago Williams' colors, representing repre-senting the I'ndine stable, were quite a ' factor in the racing world. Racine, which held the worlds record at a mile for irany years; Cadmus and Flirtation were seme of the best known of this lot. |
